Bike shops are the first to get their complement. Secondaries, like Book Stores, are supposed to hold on to the mag until the sell date. High-Res Digitals work best for printing, they MUST be AT LEAST 300dpi and sized 8"x10" or THEY WILL BE REJECTED! As a rule of thumb, anything less than 500 words will be treated as a letter to the editor. You don't have to ask ahead of time whether or not you should submit something. Just send it in and I'll look at it. I prefer everything on CDROM as a Word Document. Payment depends on the length of the submission, the amount of effort it takes to edit it, type it and make it ready for copy. I went from Michigan to Florida several times last year, plus out to Sturgis and places in between and I didn't see one chopper on the road. Not a one. It's not as though I have a stack of features to select from and decide to neglect choppers on the road. All I see on the open road are Dressers and Wingers these days.
